24-year-old magician interrupts dad's retirement dinner to perform magic routine, accuses older brother of being jealous when he advises him to read the room: 'People came to celebrate dad, not for a magic show'

Everyone has a family member that was simply born to be a star. Maybe they never really got the opportunity to make it big, but it was clear to everyone from the beginning that they thrived in the spotlight. I have a cousin – currently a successful and respectable orthodontist – who was really into singing as a kid. He never pursued it in any sort of professional way, but he always performed for the family at weddings, birthdays, and even simple cookouts. He just loved putting on a show, and we were always ready to support him. 

In our story today, a man's little brother demands attention. He's going through a magician phase, and he will target just about anyone to show off his sleight of hand – friends, family, neighbors, strangers, anyone that will give him their time of day. This might be cute if he were a child or even an awkward teenager, but this man is well into his twenties. When he steals the spotlight at dad's retirement dinner, he gets a well-needed reality check from his older bro.
